Our values are the guiding principles that shape our culture, define our identity, and propel us forward as one of the industry leaders.What we offer youAn agile company culture with short decision-making paths and plenty of opportunities to show personal initiativeFlexible working time models and mobile working (depending on your role)Allowance for the use of public transport and job bikesAllowance for the use of health and wellnessIndividual training and development opportunitiesNumerous other additional benefits such as birthday vouchers, employee advisory program, employee referral scheme, lunch allowance, company events, etc.As our Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d), you'll beworking as part of the wider legal team and under the supervision and guidance of - and reporting to - the Senior Director, Legal, Global Construction & Power.What you will doProvides legal support to business and/or operations on all forms of power/energy (and, where necessary, construction) contracting agreements, including (but not limited to) connection agreements, PPAs, heat & waste management, general contractor agreements, substation design & construction, equipment supply orders, OFCI procurement, LOIs & NDAsReviews, negotiates and makes amendments to legal terms and conditions in power/energy (and, where necessary, construction) agreements, including leading tender review processes for key business projects globallyPrepares legal reports on the status of legal mattersLiaising/collaborating closely with cross-functional GDC teams (including Procurement/Regulatory & Finance) on legal issues such as permitting timelines and CAPEXResponsible for identifying/mitigating, risk presented by power/energy (and, where necessary, construction) contracts across NTT GDC to meet business CAPEX commitmentsResponsible for handling related disputesAdvises company management on complex matters, using persuasion in delivering messages, with the ability to adapt style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters, including potential risks in contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and legal areasWhat we are looking forApplies experience and professional knowledge to develop and resolve complex issues in creative ways, to deliver distilled and robust legal and commercial adviceStrong and calm tactical decision-maker, handles unforeseen issuesInteracts with internal and external stakeholders calmly under pressureStrong experience in contract drafting, commercial terms, and negotiationsStrong experience in power/energy contractsDeveloped business acumen, and the ability to combine legal and business analysis and judgment in a practical mannerRecognizes cultural norms and practices in differing target regionsBachelor's degree in law, Juris doctorate, international diploma or relevant equivalent certificationGood command of standard IT platformsWillingness to travel internationally as required (unlikely to be more than 2x annually)Current member of the legal bar in good standing with relevant local governing organizationMinimum five+ (5+) years relevant industry, private practice and/or inhouse experienceWe look forward to hearing from you!Interested in becoming part of an agile international team and actively shaping the digital infrastructure of tomorrow?
