We are seeking a dedicated and practical Motor Vehicle Teacher or Instructor to join a supportive and forward-thinking team. This alternative education setting provides a structured, nurturing environment for young people who require a more personalised approach to learning. Many students have additional needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. The provision focuses on rebuilding confidence, developing emotional resilience, and creating clear pathways into further education, apprenticeships, or employment. Vocational learning sits at the heart of the curriculum. The motor vehicle department plays a key role in engaging learners who thrive in practical, hands-on environments. Small class sizes allow staff to build strong, consistent relationships and provide targeted academic and pastoral support. The Role As a Motor Vehicle Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and structured practical lessons in motor vehicle studies Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of SEND and SEMH needs Support learners to achieve relevant vocational qualifications Promote positive behaviour through clear expectations and consistency Contribute to EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEN, and safeguarding teams The Ideal Motor Vehicle Instructor: Experience teaching Motor Vehicle / Automotive Studies (school, college, or vocational setting) Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience A calm, patient, and relationship-focused approach A relevant teaching qualification (or significant industry experience with willingness to work towards one) Why Apply?
