The post holder will be part of the Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurses team, providing strong senior leadership and working closely with the Sister/Charge Nurse. The role involves working on a rota over 7 days, from 8am to 8pm.

This position offers leadership opportunities combined with senior nurse mentorship, and the chance to provide outpatient nursing across various specialties within a supportive CDC environment, supported by a strong multidisciplinary team.
The Post Holder Will Be Expected To:

* Possess good communication skills to work closely with individuals and teams to develop and maintain services.
* Be dedicated to providing high standards of service with flexibility to cover service needs to ensure success and fulfillment.

* Support CDC services during medical emergencies, managing unwell patients across all specialties, including those affected by adverse reactions to contrast.
* Provide simulation training for CDC services in medical emergency scenarios.
* Be responsible for the unsupervised assessment of patient care needs, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, ensuring high standards of evidence-based care for unwell patients or those with adverse contrast reactions.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Undertaking all nursing procedures as specified in Trust policies, ensuring adherence within your management responsibility, and contributing to the development of relevant clinical guidelines.
* Communicating with patients and significant others with empathy and reassurance regarding assessment and care.
* Providing psychological support to patients and carers in coping with their illness and treatment.
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure patients have access to timely, high-quality information about their diagnosis and actively participating in delivering this information.
* Ensuring patients leave the service in a timely manner and supporting those who experience delays.
