ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, configuration and optimisation of Oracle Fusion HCM, ensuring high levels of data integrity, system functionality and user adoption. Working closely with the HR Manager – Compliance, Systems & Process Improvement and the Data & BI Analyst, the role ensures HR systems are robust, compliant, and structured to support accurate reporting and operational efficiency across UK & Ireland.
1. HR Systems Administration
1. Serve as a functional expert for Oracle Fusion HCM across modules such as Core HR, Absence, Performance, Talent, and Recruitment
2. Support bulk uploads and data changes, ensuring updates process correctly across the system
3. Provide first‑line support, troubleshooting, and guidance to system users across HR and operations
4. Configure and maintain workflows, approvals and business rules within Oracle Fusion HCM
5. Support quarterly system updates and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
6. Provide guidance to HR users on system capabilities and best practices
2. Data Quality & Reporting
7. Act as owner of HR data integrity within Oracle
8. Conduct regular data quality audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and standardisation of HR data
9. Support the creation of system‑generated reports and dashboards to assist HR and operational stakeholders
10. Build and maintain HR reports using OTBI and other standard Oracle reporting tools (headcount, turnover, absence, DEI metrics)
11. Partner with the Data & BI Analyst to provide validated data extracts
3. Data Governance & Compliance
12. Ensure HR data complies with UK and Ireland GDPR and employment legislation
13. Maintain audit trails and system documentation
14. Support internal and external audits
4. Training, Documentation & User Enablement
15. Create clear, user‑friendly documentation, process guides, and training materials
16. Deliver training sessions to HR and business users to improve system adoption and process consistency
17. Communicate system changes, enhancements, and best practices in a structured, accessible way
5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
18. Participate in HR technology projects, including new module rollouts, process redesigns, and system upgrades
19. Assess system impact of policy or process changes and recommend configuration updates
20. Identify opportunities to optimise system functionality and automate manual processes
21. Support system enhancement projects
22. Support digital transformation initiatives within HR
23. Collaborate with IT and external vendors to escalate issues or support enhancements
Required Skills & Experience
24. Solid experience working with HR Systems (, Oracle HCM)
25. Strong understanding of HR processes such as onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance, and absence
26. Ability to analyse HR data, identify issues, and recommend improvements
27. Experience supporting system testing, UAT, and release activities
28. Perform BULK Uploads using HSDL
29. Strong communication skills with the ability to support non‑technical HR users
30. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
31. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
32. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
33. Understanding of UK and Ireland GDPR and data protection principles
Desirable
34. Experience with SQL or reporting tools (Power BI / Tableau)
35. System implementation or migration experience
36. HR qualification (CIPD Level 3/5)
37. Experience working in a large or multi-site organisation
