The Opportunity We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at Marine North Berwick. Reporting into the General Manager you will be responsible for: Developing maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. Implement preventive maintenance programme. Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, public areas and back of house facilities. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality. Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities. Allocate workload and supervise the team. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. Monitor expenses and control the budget. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Ensure health and safety and fire policies are complied with. Act fast to resolve emergency issues. Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs. Ensure operation is meeting sustainability goals. Maintain and supervise maintenance contracts and activity logs of periodical inspections. What are we looking for? Minimum 2 years maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel environment (although not essential!) IOSH Essential Accomplished Leader of Teams Good organisational and time management skills Conflict management solution skills are essential.
