Due to continued growth within the finance function, they are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their Belfast headquarters.About the JobReporting to the Head of Finance Services, the Payroll Officer will take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across 70+ salary service clients, while also supporting internal employee payroll operations.The successful candidate will maintain payroll records, ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, process year-end payroll activities, and respond to payroll-related queries from clients and external agencies. This role will involve close collaboration with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess end-to-end payroll for 70+ salary service clients using Sage 50 PayrollMaintain payroll records including tax codes, deductions, and pension informationEnsure compliance with HMRC regulations and complete RTI submissionsRespond to payroll queries from clients and external agenciesSupport employee payroll processing alongside the Head of Finance ServicesLiaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracyAssist with payroll-related projects and ad hoc dutiesProcess year-end payroll activities including P60s and P11DsPrepare staff cost analysis and payroll reporting informationYour Skills & ExperiencePrevious payroll experience with end-to-end payroll processingExperience using Sage 50 PayrollStrong understanding of HMRC regulations, RTI submissions, and payroll complianceExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to manage deadlines and work accurately in a busy environmentExperience preparing payroll reports and reconciliations would be advantageousFor further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your payroll career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.WHJS1_NI
