Specification Sales Manager – North UK(Remote)

Salary: Up to £60,000 Basic + £15,000 Bonus + Car Allowance

The Opportunity

Our client is a global market-leading manufacturer of innovative interior construction products and systems. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to appoint a Specification Sales Manager to drive project specifications and new business development across the Midlands and Northern regions.

This is a highly visible role within a growing division where your contribution will have a direct impact on future success. The business offers genuine career progression, with the opportunity to help shape and grow the division around your experience, expertise, and ambitions.

Working remotely from home, you will be responsible for developing specifications and influencing key stakeholders across a wide range of commercial projects within sectors including education, healthcare, leisure, hospitality, sports venues, and public buildings.

The Role

  • Develop and secure product specifications with architects, designers, specifiers, consultants, and main contractors.
  • Drive new business opportunities across the Midlands and North territory.
  • Deliver a consultative, solution-led sales approach focused on project outcomes and customer needs.
  • Work closely with distribution partners to maximise project opportunities and convert specifications into sales.
  • Identify and influence projects at the earliest stages of the construction cycle.
  • Provide technical and application-based guidance to stakeholders throughout the specification process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the construction supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

The Person

  • Proven track record within specification sales, technical sales, or project-led construction sales.
  • Experience selling interior construction products, building materials, fit-out solutions, or related construction products.
  • Strong network among architects, specifiers, contractors, and construction professionals.
  • Commercially driven with a strong new business development mindset.
  • Skilled in consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Able to manage a large geographical territory effectively from a home-based environment.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
