We are working with a specialist healthcare consultancy seeking an experienced Market Access Medical Writer to lead the development of strategic, evidence-based content and deliver impactful market access projects.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the lead writer, delivering high-quality, evidence-based content that is fully referenced and scientifically robust
* Lead market access-focused projects, including end-to-end coordination and project management of internal teams, alongside direct client engagement
* Provide line management, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members
* Develop compelling payer value communication materials, including value dossiers, payer decks, toolkits, objection handlers, and internal training resources
* Manage projects from both an operational and financial perspective, acting as the day-to-day client contact while closely monitoring timelines and budgets to ensure efficient delivery
* Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, business development activities, and marketing efforts, including the development of insights and materials to support company growth
* Conduct targeted secondary research using a wide range of credible sources to address specific research questions, such as understanding disease and competitive landscapes, current treatment pathways, pricing and reimbursement processes, and key payer value drivers
Requirements
* Minimum of five years’ experience as a market access medical writer, preferably within a consultancy environment
* Bachelor’s degree with a life sciences-related postgraduate qualification, or a degree in an English-focused subject with proven experience in healthcare market access
* Confidence in leading the development of client-facing presentations and written deliverables
* Strong understanding of health economic principles, with in-depth knowledge of pricing and reimbursement pathways across key global markets
* Experience in line management and business development activities, including pitch presentations and proposal writing, is highly desirable
