Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Workday Test Manager
to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities across Workday implementation or enhancement projects. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on experience in Workday modules, test strategy, and quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and own the overall
test strategy, test plan, and test approach
for Workday projects.
* Manage all phases of testing –
Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression, and Payroll parallel testing (if applicable).
* Collaborate with functional leads, business SMEs, and technical teams to ensure test coverage across Workday HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, and other modules.
* Lead test preparation including
test scenarios, test scripts, test data management, and defect tracking.
* Coordinate UAT cycles with business users, ensuring clear entry/exit criteria and timely sign-offs.
* Set up and manage
test governance
, status reporting, defect triage meetings, and escalation processes.
* Ensure
compliance with QA standards and methodologies
throughout the testing lifecycle.
* Mentor and guide testing team members, providing leadership and quality assurance expertise.
* Liaise with external vendors, system integrators, and stakeholders to manage test dependencies.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a
Test Manager
on large-scale
Workday implementation or upgrade programs.
* Strong knowledge of
Workday HCM and Payroll
modules (other modules are a plus).
* Experience with
test automation tools
and Workday-specific testing accelerators is desirable.
* Strong understanding of
test methodologies, QA processes, and defect management tools
(e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).
* Excellent
stakeholder management and communication skills
with the ability to engage with HR, Finance, and IT teams.
* Experience managing offshore/nearshore test teams is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
