Hours -Full Time. These roles require flexibility due to evening and weekend shifts.
About the Fisherman's Cottage:
Nestled just beneath Shanklin Chine in an enviable location at the far end of Shanklin Esplanade you will find Fisherman’s Cottage, the town’s original thatched dining pub on the beach with a rich heritage dating back to 1817.
We take pride in serving classic British plates with a few creative twists, all delivered with warm, seaside hospitality.As we head into another busy season, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Pub Manager to lead our friendly, well-established team.
What You’ll Do
As a Pub Manager at Fisherman’s Cottage, you will:
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
* Lead, support, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen teams
* Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
* Manage staff rotas, stock control, ordering, and budgets
* Uphold health & safety, hygiene, and licensing compliance
* Act as a hands-on leader during busy service periods
What We’re Looking For
* Previous management experience in a busy pub or hospitality setting
* A natural leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong customer focus and a hands-on approach
* Proven ability to manage a team effectively under pressure
* Knowledge of hospitality operations including stock, staffing, and compliance
