Teaching Personnel is delighted to announce an excellent full-time opportunity for a passionate Art Teacher at an Ofsted Good, diverse secondary school in Denton. This role commences in September and spans the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance. The pay for this role is in line with PayScale (£30,000 - £46,525).
Role Overview:
As an Art Teacher, you will inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through various artistic mediums. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic Art lessons that foster a love for the subject and help students develop their skills and appreciation for art.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive Art lessons that align with the national curriculum, addressing the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
* Student Engagement: Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages students to experiment with different art forms and techniques, fostering a love for artistic expression.
* Differentiated Instruction: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying abilities and learning styles of students, ensuring that all learners are supported and challenged.
* Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to promote their artistic growth and achievement.
* Portfolio Development: Guide students in the creation and presentation of their art portfolios, preparing them for assessments and future opportunities in the arts.
* Support and Guidance: Offer academic and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate any challenges and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in art education and contemporary art practices, participating in professional development opportunities and collaborating with colleagues.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Art.
* Passion for teaching art and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students to explore their creativity.
* Experience teaching Art at the secondary level, with a thorough understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
* Enthusiasm for incorporating innovative teaching methods and resources, including digital technologies, to enhance students' learning experiences.
