The role requires patience, quick thinking, and a genuine interest in the individual’s hobbies and day-to-day wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Support with identifying potential triggers and interpreting early warning signs of behavior escalation. De-escalate and defuse challenging episodes in a calm, safe, and professional manner to minimize impact. Provide respectful prompts and encouragement around daily living tasks, including meal preparation and eating, ensuring balance without over-prompting. Prepare and cook meals to meet personal preferences and dietary requirements. Engage with the person’s personal interests and hobbies, which include: Reptiles and snakes Tropical plants and cacti Long walks Fishing Gardening Learning and discussions about Chernobyl Promote independence while offering consistent, compassionate support tailored to the individual’s needs.
