Our client, a leading manufacturer operating within a high-performance rolling mill and press environment, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically-biased engineer with strong mechanical capability to support fast-paced heavy manufacturing operations.

Competitive Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Rotating 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 (Early finish on Fridays!)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete planned and reactive maintenance across rolling mill and press machinery.
2. Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns to keep production downtime to a minimum.
3. Install, service, and upgrade both mechanical and electrical components.
4. Support reliability improvement and identify energy-saving and process-efficiency opportunities.
5. Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain peak machine performance.
6. Supervise contractors and mentor junior engineers/technicians when required.
7. Maintain adherence to health & safety best practice at all times.
8. Manage maintenance stock, parts usage, and accurate record-keeping.
Required Skills & Experience:
9. Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
10. Proven background in manufacturing or heavy production, ideally rolling mill or press machinery.
11. Confident working across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
12. Competent using Microsoft Office and maintenance logging systems (CMMS).
13. Strong problem-solver with a practical, proactive approach.
14. Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
15. Safety-focused with a commitment to high standards and best practice.
