Overview
Our client, a leading manufacturer operating within a high-performance rolling mill and press environment, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically-biased engineer with mechanical capability to support fast-paced heavy manufacturing operations.

* Competitive Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 (DOE)
* Shifts: Rotating 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 (Early finish on Fridays!)

Key Responsibilities
* Complete planned and reactive maintenance across rolling mill and press machinery.
* Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns to keep production downtime to a minimum.
* Install, service, and upgrade both mechanical and electrical components.
* Support reliability improvement and identify energy‑saving and process‑efficiency opportunities.
* Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain peak machine performance.
* Supervise contractors and mentor junior engineers/technicians when required.
* Maintain adherence to health & safety best practice at all times.
* Manage maintenance stock, parts usage, and accurate record‑keeping.
Required Skills & Experience
* Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
* Proven background in manufacturing or heavy production, ideally rolling mill or press machinery.
* Confident working across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Competent using Microsoft Office and maintenance logging systems (CMMS).
* Strong problem‑solver with a practical, proactive approach.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Safety‑focused with a commitment to high standards and best practice.
