We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to work with us at The Fox, Broadwell.
Broadwell is 25 minutes from Evesham, 5 minutes from Stow & 5 minutes from Moreton.
We have built an excellent reputation in The Cotswolds, with a passion for freshly prepared, often locally sourced food. We change dishes on the menu each month with weekly specials every weekend.
We (Pete and I) also have The Bell Inn, Langford & The Lamb Inn, Shipton-under-Wychwood, The Sherborne Arms, Northleach, The Tivoli in Cheltenham newly opened The Hawthorn in Shepherds Bush, which have been really successful with great reviews and awards, including GQ best pub of the year 2022, Times best pub of the year 2022 and a Michelin Bib Gourmand at Th Bell which we have held for the last five years. We are equally (if not more) happy to say we have built teams both FOH & BOH at both sites that have now been with us a long time.
We need someone who shares our commitment to exceptional service, top-quality food, and a great atmosphere.
We focus on a straightforward, well sourced, wine, beer & spirit selection, Good, classic, nose to tail, British pub style food, plenty of game & offal and very little mucking around.. Not a micro herb in sight and definitely no tweezers.

Duties of Junior Sous Chef
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements of Junior Sous Chef
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new cooking techniques.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
