About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Street Lighting Works Manager to join our team based at Willingham Hall Depot in Lincolnshire. You’ll lead and manage various aspects of street lighting works including maintenance and projects, with responsibility for planning, cost control, quality, safety, and team performance. This is a key leadership role supporting the successful delivery of contracts and ensuring high standards across all operations.
You’ll act as a vital link between internal teams, the client, and the wider supply chain — ensuring we deliver safe, sustainable, and efficient solutions that exceed expectations.
What you'll be doing
Health, Safety & Environment
* Ensure safety excellence across all activities, with responsibility for RAMs, SSOWs, plant movement, and compliance.
* Support investigations and proactively manage safe systems of work.
Production & Delivery
* Plan and manage short- and medium-term programmes to meet (and beat) delivery targets.
* Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams to maintain timelines, quality, and budget.
* Maintain accurate site records and short-interval control logs.
Logistics & Planning
* Lead logistics planning across multiple workstreams.
* Resolve sequencing conflicts and align project elements with resources and schedules.
Quality & Technical Oversight
* Oversee QA processes and technical delivery, manage design changes and non-conformance.
* Ensure works meet specifications and sign off against quality milestones.
Who we're looking for
We’re seeking a collaborative and experienced leader with a strong background in street lighting or infrastructure construction. You’ll bring a practical, hands-on mindset combined with commercial awareness and a deep understanding of construction site operations.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in street lighting or related civil engineering construction.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Excellent planning, scheduling, and organisational capability.
* Understanding of NEC contracts, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
* Comfortable managing budgets, resources, and commercial risk.
