Job Description:
As a growing business, our national Property Disputes practice is contributing to our expansion through exciting new client wins. We now have an opportunity for a Paralegal to join our team in Southampton.
What will you be doing?
The team handles complex high-value real estate litigation and general commercial property management. Our clients include landlords, tenants (with national portfolios), developers, investors, public-sector bodies, FTSE 250 companies, and sectors like telecoms, retail, energy, government, and transport infrastructure.
You will assist lawyers in contentious commercial property matters such as telecoms, landlord and tenant issues (e.g., 1954 Act renewals, dilapidations, break notices), and general property issues like adverse possession, easements, and disputes over titles. Responsibilities include drafting correspondence and court documents, assisting with disclosures, conducting legal research, and monitoring key dates. The role offers regular supervision, support, and opportunities for client contact to develop communication and relationship-building skills. The team is busy but supportive, providing immediate engagement with quality client work within a collegiate environment committed to development.
What are we looking for?
Due to our growth and the complexity of work, previous property litigation paralegal experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with experience in real estate or litigation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, and capable of prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines. Strong relationship-building skills are essential for this client-facing role.
Minimum requirements include:
* Completion of a law degree or other legal qualification; previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred but not essential.
* Experience in managing and prioritizing workload.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
