Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
Plan and develop creative schemes of work that inspire students of all abilities.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression through a variety of media and techniques.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular activities.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching Art at secondary level is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative arts education.
Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
