Job Description:
Take the lead in global nuclear safety.
Join AtkinsRealis as a Senior Criticality Safety Engineer within our Nuclear & Power Division. You will be responsible for designing complex schemes to protect our clients' assets in highly regulated nuclear environments. The role involves supporting project delivery across various industry sectors, including new build, generation, defence, decommissioning, and disposal.
Your responsibilities:
* Lead criticality safety assessments and develop associated documentation such as HAZANS, CANs, and CCCs.
* Utilize industry-recognized radiation transport codes like MCNP, MONK, and SCALE for calculations.
* Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects.
* Enhance radiation protection and safety processes.
* Assist in bid and proposal development.
* Contribute to fostering a safety culture within the organization.
Qualifications and skills:
* Degree in physics, chemistry, mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with criticality safety assessments and radiation transport codes.
* Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.
