Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant: Work one-to-one as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a 15-year-old pupil with ASD and anxiety. Provide structured and consistent support to help the pupil engage with learning. Accompany the pupil to an off-site provision where they will take part in animal-based activities. Support emotional regulation, engagement, and communication strategies. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals. Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with ASD and anxiety. A driving licence and access to a car (essential for travel to off-site provision). A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting SEN pupils.
