What You’ll Be Doing
Join us on this mission as a Mechanical Design Engineer working within our Sourcing and Operations Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of Martin-Baker product portfolios through investigations resulting in corrective and proactive continuous improvement of designs and processes. This includes investigating engineering issues, generating design concepts in line with regulatory and customer requirements and in line with the engineering specification, including associated international and military standards as well as MBA requirements. It also requires the production of commercially viable product definition information (PDI) including 3D models, detail, and assembly engineering drawings. You will also be responsible for effective workload planning, generation of technical calculations and corresponding reports, change reviews and presentations to support the development of the design. You will need to work effectively with internal and external customers to achieve the optimum design through in-depth consultation with all project stakeholders. The engineering you’ll be delivering to customers is world leading, and it saves lives. We want to learn from you. You’ll help us listen to customers; you’ll help them understand how they can best support our product, and you’ll be an expert voice who represents our business.

Characteristics & Skills
* Committed to the highest standards.
* Good knowledge of materials and processes used in the aerospace sector or equivalent.
* Experience of full engineering process, in particular mod classifications.
* Problem solving or investigative knowledge.
* Have an eye for detail and getting things right.
* Share and demonstrate the Martin-Baker Values.
Education & Qualifications
* 1st / 2.1 Mechanical Engineering Degree Accredited by IMechE
* 1st / 2.1 Aerospace Engineering Degree
