Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part time Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
* Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met
* Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
* Help with the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces
* Prepare ingredients for cooking and ensure all items are stored correctly in accordance with food safety regulations
* Serve meals to customers or staff as required, maintaining a friendly and professional attitude
* Assist with catering events by setting up food stations and replenishing supplies during service
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
* Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
* Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
