The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our expanding group in County Durham. This role offers more than routine surveying – it combines client-facing surveys, project management, and business development. Key Responsibilities
* Undertake building surveys, prepare reports and detailed quotations.
* Manage projects end-to-end, from client briefing to delivery and completion.
* Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
* Proactively identify and secure new work opportunities when out in the field.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with compliance standards.
* Delegate effectively and support colleagues to achieve deadlines.
* Produce quotations and project documents quickly and accurately.
About You
* Qualified and experienced Building Surveyor (MRICS preferred, not essential).
* Strong background in surveying and project management.
* Highly proficient with IT and capable of producing accurate reports and quotes efficiently.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Commercially aware, proactive, and client-focused.
* Strong communication and time-management skills.
