A Care Assistant is needed at Maple Court in Scarborough, supporting residents in daily living and care activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting or assisting Residents with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and other aspects of daily living.
* Assist Residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs while preserving their comfort and dignity.
* Pay particular attention to Residents with limited mobility, or learning difficulties, using aids as required.
* Monitor Residents who may be confused or have behavioural problems.
* Assist in continence promotion.
* Support Residents who are dying or have a progressive illness, including assisting with last offices.
* Observe care planning needs and complete written daily records in line with company policies and procedures.
* Facilitate social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue hobbies and activities.
* Answer the nurse call system, door and telephone, and pass on messages promptly.
* Report on the well‑being of Residents under senior Care Staff guidance.
* Carry out regular checks on Residents at intervals determined by senior staff.
* Welcome visitors, providing refreshments and assistance as required.
* Prepare and change beds, ensuring rooms are clean and tidy and meeting the Home’s waste policy.
* Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents or relatives, ensuring the Home remains tidy.
* Record participation and feedback to ensure meaningful engagement.
