Job Summary
We seek a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, strong knowledge of network protocols (Layer 2, 3, 4), wireless protocols, and a CCNA or higher certification. Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is desirable. This remote role involves occasional travel and requires a full UK driving license.
Work hours are 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota (one week in five).
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for high availability and security.
* Troubleshoot network issues across protocols and platforms.
* Support cloud WAF and maintain network hardware.
* Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
* Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
* Manage Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
* Support incident resolution and document configurations.
* Travel to stations for on-site support when needed.
* Stay updated with industry trends.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
* Experience with Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BGP, WPA3, Wi-Fi 6E/7.
* Current CCNA or higher (within last 5 years).
* Understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
* Experience with Cisco Meraki, routers, switches, firewalls.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
* Full UK driving license and ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications like CCNP, JNCIA.
* Experience with cloud networking, automation, security.
* Experience with Ubiquiti solutions.
* Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
