Your new company Hays Education are working with a one-form entry primary school based in Ellesmere Port who are looking for an administrator to job share with the current post holder. Your new role Working alongside the school business manager, you will be the first point of call for all visitors and callers to the school. There will be times when you will be the only school administrator available in the office, so you will need to be able to work independently to provide professional front of house support, and adhere to the school's safeguarding policy at all times. General duties for this school administration job will include: Answering calls and email correspondence Signing in visitors to the school Typing letters/ sending out school notices Photocopying and filing as required Using SIMS to maintain pupil data and support with monitoring attendance data and inputting registers Hours are 8.30-2.30 Wednesday - Friday. What you'll need to succeed To succeed, you will need a strong background in administration with strong customer service skills. Previous experience of working with the SIMS system would be an advantage. You will be patient and professional, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to accurately input and manage data. You will be flexible in your approach and able to take on typing or reprographic tasks as required. Appointment to this post will be dependent on completing an enhanced DBS check.
