We are currently recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within a well‑established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Crosby. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs and is seeking enthusiastic, resilient, and caring individuals to join their team. This role is particularly suited to:
* Graduates considering a career in education, psychology, social work, or therapy.
* Sports coaches who can build positive relationships and engage pupils through structured activities.
* Teaching Assistants looking to develop their SEN experience.
* Individuals with experience working with children or young people in schools, coaching, youth work, care, or support settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* Helping students access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
* Working closely with teachers and wider support staff to meet individual learning and development needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Has experience working with children or young people.
* Is energetic, proactive, and able to build rapport quickly.
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.
* Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
* Is looking to gain valuable experience within education and SEN settings.
