Job Description
* Identify and secure new revenue opportunities across the battery recycling, EV, ESS, and industrial energy sectors.
* Lead end‑to‑end tender processes, including submissions, commercial proposals, and EOIs, ensuring competitive positioning.
* Negotiate medium‑ to long‑term supply and offtake agreements that maximise revenue, volume security, and commercial outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, energy storage companies, and key industry partners.
* Represent the organisation at industry forums, panels, trade shows, and technical workshops to elevate brand visibility.
* Conduct ongoing market intelligence across EV, battery manufacturing, recycling regulations, competitor activity, and emerging technology trends.
* Maintain a dynamic commercial pipeline with accurate forecasting and conversion metrics.
* Prepare business cases to support major commercial opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.
* Ensure CRM data accuracy, sales reporting, and performance tracking across all opportunities.
* Work closely with cross‑functional technical, operations, and compliance teams to ensure successful commercial delivery.
* Support EHS and sustainability objectives across all commercial activities.
* Travel nationally to engage with clients, partners, and industry events as required.
The Successful Applicant
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in business development, strategic sales, or commercial roles - ideally within battery recycling, energy storage, renewables, resources or industrial sectors.
* Demonstrated success managing complex tenders and negotiating multi‑stakeholder commercial agreements.
* Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue and growth targets.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
* Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong long-term customer relationships.
* Data‑driven approach to forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity qualification.
* Energetic self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment.
* Strong organisational and reporting capabilities with disciplined CRM usage.
* Willingness to travel regularly within Australia.
