We are looking for an Apprentice Income Collection Officer to join the Revenues, Benefits and Welfare Service as part of the Income Collection Team, to undertake recovery and enforcement action to maximise the collection of monies owed to the Council. This important role will include pro-actively contacting customers, making suitable payment arrangements, implementing deductions from benefits/earnings, referring suitable cases to the enforcement agents and assisting in the preparation of court papers, the successful candidate will work with offices across the Council to aid income collection. What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working for our community and has the following qualifications / experience:
1. Minimum qualifications of 5x Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above / Functional Skills Level 2) including English & Maths.
2. Good communication and teamwork skills
3. Commitment to the full duration of the apprenticeship — showing reliability, motivation, and readiness to balance work and study responsibilities
4. Willingness to learn and develop new skills - apprenticeships are designed for those ready to grow through hands-on experience and training.Please outline in your personal statement how you meet this criteria.

Age 21 and over = £12.21 per hour
Age 18 to 20 = £10.00 per hour
