Deputy Manager (Clinical) - Winsford Hourly Pay: £23.00 - £25.00 Per Hour About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager (Clinical) to join a well-established care home team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Home Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred nursing care that upholds the highest standards of safety, dignity, and wellbeing. You will provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, ensuring all care practices meet regulatory requirements and reflect current best practice. Acting as a role model and mentor, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability within the team. In the absence of the Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the clinical governance and daily management of the service, ensuring care delivery aligns with internal policies and external regulations. Your duties will include: Supervising and supporting nurses and care staff Conducting clinical audits and ensuring compliance with CQC standards Reviewing and maintaining care plans and documentation Overseeing safe medication management Completing pre-admission and ongoing risk assessments Liaising effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies Reports to: Home Manager Key Skills and Attributes Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager or senior clinical leader within an adult care setting Strong understanding of CQC regulations and clinical governance frameworks Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with residents, families, and external professionals Proven ability to mentor and support teams to deliver person-centred care Confident in managing safeguarding and ensuring safe, effective care delivery Committed to involving residents and their families in care planning and evaluation Education and Qualifications NMC Registered Nurse (Adult or Mental Health) – essential Demonstrable post-registration experience within a care home or similar environment What’s on Offer You will be joining a supportive and dedicated team that values compassion, professionalism, and collaboration.
