Baker Charles is partnering with a dynamic and international business to appoint a Director of Finance into a newly created senior leadership position within a fast paced financial services and advisory environment.
This is a broad, visible and commercially focused role overseeing a complex international finance function across multiple jurisdictions spanning Europe, Asia and other global regions. The position combines financial leadership, operational finance, reporting, compliance and business partnering within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and project-driven environment.
You will work closely with international stakeholders and global leadership within a complex multi-jurisdiction structure. You will take responsibility for leading and continually enhancing a high-performing finance function while supporting ongoing growth initiatives and organisational development. The role will also provide exposure to acquisition activity, integration projects and deal-related accounting matters, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a varied and stimulating environment.
This is a fluid and fast-moving business where priorities can shift quickly, requiring someone who is adaptable, pragmatic and comfortable operating at pace. The successful individual will be able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution and thrive within a high-performing, collaborative and commercially focused culture.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and develop an international finance team across reporting, controls and operational finance activities
* Oversee management and statutory reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions
* Manage external audit relationships and broader regulatory and compliance activities
* Lead tax, treasury and operational finance responsibilities
* Support business projects, acquisitions and strategic initiatives
* Drive improvements across systems, controls and reporting processes
* Partner with senior stakeholders to support business performance and decision-making
* Work closely with senior leadership on ad hoc commercial, operational and strategic initiatives
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with experience operating in complex, international and project-led environments. The role will suit someone looking for a highly visible position with genuine ownership and long-term progression potential.
You will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial judgement, leadership capability and a pragmatic, hands-on approach. Exposure to multi-jurisdictional reporting, acquisitions, international operations, treasury or transaction-related activity would be highly advantageous.
This organisation values intelligent, grounded and adaptable individuals who enjoy solving problems, building relationships and taking ownership. For the right individual, this represents a rare opportunity to join a highly successful business offering significant exposure, autonomy and progression potential at an exciting stage of its journey.
