Halton Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service, named Moving On 2gether by young people, is an exciting service. We are funded through Halton Borough Council, providing mental health support to children in care.
We deliver child and young person centred mental health support for mild, moderate and /or complex mental health conditions. We also provide information, advice and consultation to carers, professionals engaged with children in care and care leavers/extended care leavers.
Do you have significant experience of working directly with cared for children and young people, and care leavers, and of working alongside carers and multi-agency professionals offering training, advice and consultancy?
We are looking to recruit a 30-hour per week Specialist Project Worker 3. This role is specifically to support those children, their carers and the professionals that work with them, who have experienced child sexual abuse and may be displaying harmful sexual behaviour.
Do you have:
* Significant, current experience of complex case work involving child sexual abuse and harmful sexual behaviour and the ability to demonstrate continued professional development in this field of expertise.
* Extensive experience of providing consultation, advice and support to carers and professionals to help keep children safe where known sexual risks from adults are evident.
* Experience and training to carry out a range of bespoke assessments, including but not limited to AIM3 and Trauma Symptom checklists.
* The qualifications, expertise and experience to be able to provide assessment and therapeutic support for children / young people who demonstrate harmful sexualised behaviour including those with additional needs.
* Professional qualification (Minimum Diploma level), with evidence of continuing professional development in a field relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
