Join a dynamic, high‑growth business as aSenior Packaging Technologist, driving the development, validation, and optimisation of packaging across an exciting product portfolio. In this role, you’ll bridge Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure packaging performs beautifully from concept to scale‑up.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and validate primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging across multiple formats
* Conduct structured performance testing, including compatibility, transit, leak, and shelf‑life testing
* Support new product launches, ensuring packaging meets technical, operational, and aesthetic standards
* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure components run smoothly on filling and assembly lines
* Lead packaging optimisation projects focused on sustainability, cost reduction, and performance improvements
* Analyse failures and consumer complaints to drive root‑cause understanding and corrective action
* Collaborate with suppliers, reviewing specifications, tolerances, and quality documentation
* Maintain packaging specifications and own EPR compliance data integrity
Candidate Requirements
* Strong packaging technology experience within beauty, cosmetics or FMCG
* Understanding of glass, bottles, closures, pumps, triggers, refill formats, and fulfilment setups
* Confident working with production teams and e‑commerce fulfilment environments
* Excellent problem‑solving skills with hands‑on technical troubleshooting ability
* Highly organised with exceptional documentation skills
* Desirable: knowledge of sustainability frameworks, material innovation, and essential oil compatibility
