Role Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pangbourne
Role Purpose: Static Electrical Service engineer responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service tasks, PPMs, and reactive works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate all building systems competently, effectively, and efficiently.
2. Complete PPM and reactive tasks, updating the electronic workflow system accordingly.
3. Ensure daily checks are completed, report defects via the FM helpdesk, and repair as necessary.
4. Identify materials required for timely ordering and installation.
5. Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Record statutory inspections accurately within logbooks and ensure timely completion.
7. Review and sign off on Specialist Service Provider worksheets, inspect work quality, and escalate recommendations to the Supervisor.
8. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site, plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
9. Provide emergency response standby as part of a call-out rota.
10. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager and respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies per SLA.
11. Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
The engineer will troubleshoot and work on various building systems, including:
1. Three-phase and single-phase electrical systems
2. Building Management Systems and electrical monitoring
3. HVAC systems, air handling units, air conditioning, and chillers
4. Pumps, motors, and VSDs
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
1. Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
2. BS 7671 18th edition
3. C&G 2391 or equivalent
4. PPM experience
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels
6. Proactive approach to achieving high standards
7. Good IT and report writing skills
8. Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and delivering services within time constraints
9. Experience with UPS and standby power systems
10. LOTO experience
11. HVAC experience (preferred but not essential)
12. BMS and CAFM (Corrigo) knowledge (a bonus)
