Department: Client Finance Location: Cheltenham Description We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Systems Accountant to play a key role in the successful implementation of a new ERP system at PoloWorks. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major transformation project that will enhance our financial processes and reporting capabilities. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities Act as the finance lead in the implementation of the new ERP system, ensuring seamless integration, data accuracy, and alignment with business requirements. Serve as the primary liaison between the finance team and our implementation partner, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Design and develop insightful financial reports and dashboards to support strategic decision-making and performance management. Document new system processes, controls, and procedures to build a robust knowledge base and ensure business continuity. Provide hands-on support during month-end and quarter-end processes by backfilling finance team responsibilities while colleagues focus on the system implementation. Process payments, journals, and reconciliations within SUN systems to maintain operational accuracy and control. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven experience in developing, implementing, or enhancing finance systems. Ability to design and deliver financial reports that meet diverse stakeholder needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship management skills. A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to thrive in a changing environment. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience within general insurance finance (desirable). Familiarity with Sage Intacct or other ERP/accounting systems (desirable). Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.
