We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient-focused Salaried GP to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, holistic care to our registered population and contribute to the ongoing development of our services.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Care

* Provide comprehensive GP services including surgery consultations (face-to-face, telephone, and online)
* Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
* Manage acute, chronic, and preventive care in line with NICE and local guidelines
* Undertake home visits when required
* Provide appropriate follow-up, referrals, and signposting to community and secondary care services

Patient Safety & Quality

* Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical records
* Participate in clinical governance, significant event analysis, and quality improvement activities
* Prescribe safely and cost-effectively in line with local formularies
* Safeguard children and vulnerable adults in line with practice and statutory policies

Team Working

* Work collaboratively with GP partners, salaried GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, and the wider MDT
* Support training and supervision of students, trainees, or other clinicians where appropriate
* Participate in clinical meetings and practice development activities

Professional Development

* Maintain GMC registration and revalidation requirements
* Participate in appraisal, CPD, and mandatory training
* Keep up to date with clinical guidelines and best practice

Practice & PCN Involvement

* Contribute to practice and PCN initiatives
* Support continuity of care and population health management
* Contribute to service redesign and improvement projects as agreed

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care services as part of the practice clinical team, contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate general practice in line with GMC and NHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

Working Conditions

* Annual leave: As per BMA salaried GP contract
* Study leave: As per practice policy
* Indemnity: NHS indemnity (CNSGP) applies

* Salary: £10,500 per session (dependent on experience)

Person Specification


Experience

* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and consultation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
* Commitment to high standards of clinical care.
* Team player with a proactive, positive approach.
* Interest in quality improvement and service development
* Experience
* Experience in UK general practice.
* Special clinical interests (e.g. minor surgery, dermatology, womens health).
* Teaching or training experience.


Qualifications

* Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Listed on the GP Register (CCT or equivalent).
* Included on the GP Performers List.
