Utilizes clinical skills to perform patient evaluations involving assessment of range of motion, strength, function, posture, balance, coordination, etc.
Assesses patient’s rehabilitation potential based upon evaluation and the patient/family’s attitude toward rehabilitation.
Establishes appropriate treatment goals with input from the patient and family based on evaluation findings.
Formulates and implements a plan of care to reach treatment goals, utilizing physical therapy techniques and procedures.
Maintains medical records, with daily documentation of evaluations and treatments, and conducts periodic reevaluations to modify programs and goals accordingly.
Provides education to patients, families, nurses, hospital staff, and the public on body mechanics, injury prevention, and the role of physical therapy.
Supervises, guides, and evaluates the performance of physical therapy assistants, aides, and students as needed.
Experience Required:
* One year of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Registration/Certification:
* Physical Therapy license.
* Level AC CPR Certification.
