History Teacher
Location: Derby
Salary: £130 – £251+ per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a passionate History Teacher who enjoys bringing the past to life and inspiring students to understand and question the world around them?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to deliver engaging History lessons in schools across Derby, helping students develop critical thinking and a love for the subject.
As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver stimulating lessons across Key Stages, encouraging students to explore historical events, perspectives, and interpretations. You will support learners to develop analytical skills, engage in debates, and gain a deep understanding of the past while connecting it to the present.
Your Responsibilities as a History Teacher:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons according to the UK curriculum.
* Teach across Key Stages, ensuring inclusivity and differentiation for all abilities.
* Inspire students through discussions, debates, and interactive activities.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and good behaviour.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular learning opportunities.
* Encourage independent thinking and curiosity about historical events and contexts.
History Teacher Requirements:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE, or equivalent.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related subject.
* Experience as a History Teacher is necessary.
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
