It is recognised as one of the leading importers and distributors of fine wine in the UK market.
The Opportunity
To position ourselves for the next phase of business growth, we are looking to recruit a new member to join our London Sales Team. This will provide an opportunity to represent some of the most desirable and well-respected producers in the wine industry and assist them in securing distribution across the London market.
The role will offer the opportunity for a broad range of experiences, with involvement in both the on and off trade sectors. Reporting to the London Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities
Initially taking responsibility for a number of existing relationships within the London market before actively seeking to develop new business opportunities. You will be customer focussed and forge strong working relationships with our customers with a positive and professional approach, using your knowledge to add value through education, events and activations in the market. Internally proactive communication with customer service, finance and marketing is paramount to delivering customers’ needs and company growth. Working with a premium portfolio of wineries, you will work closely with the brand management team to ensure marketing plans are delivered in your region, including hosting tastings and events – often alongside brand owners - leading customer visits to our portfolio of wineries, managing promotional programmes and budgets.
Skills and Experience
* · A minimum of 5 years relevant trade sales experience within the London market is essential
* · An active network of trade contacts within the sector is expected
* · Confident to seek out, approach and win new business opportunities
* · Self-motivated, results–driven, comfortable with managing budgets and meeting sales targets
* · Strong numerical, analytical and organisational competencies
* · Excellent communication and presentation skills
* · Experience of working with Brand Owners
* · Good level of wine knowledge (WSET Level 3)
* · Responsive team player able to work collaboratively across departments
