Classroom Support Assistant : Sefton Secondary Schools

We have opportunities in secondary schools across the entire Sefton borough. We cover all areas including: Bootle, Crosby, Waterloo, Maghull, Formby and Southport.
Requirements:
* Previous work with children or teens (coaching, youth work, or classroom).
* Clear, confident, and patient speaking and writing skills.
* A calm, steady approach when students are having a tough day.

Key Duties:
* Helping students stay on track and engaged during core subjects.
* Leading focused intervention groups for Literacy or Numeracy.
* Guiding individual students who need an extra boost with their classwork.
* Explaining complex instructions in a simple, step:by:step way for learners.
* Promoting a positive and focused atmosphere in the classroom.
* Setting up equipment for Science, Art, or PE lessons.
* Ensuring student safety and positive social interaction during lunch and break times.
* Keeping brief notes on student successes to share with the Class Teacher.
