Location: Various locations across Stirling
We are looking for a Roads Foreperson to join and support our growing team within Stirling Council.
The successful candidate will participate in and contribute as part of the team maintaining and renewing roads, footways and undertaking general civil engineering works. These works may include roads and footway surfacing, street lighting tracking, hard landscaping, masonry, kerbing, ironwork, concrete, traffic management, emergency reactive works and partaking in summer and winter standby duties, ensuring that Stirling Council’s objectives are met. The successful candidate will be based at one Stirling Council’s depots in Callander or Stirling.
What you'll do
1. Responsibility of all health and safety of the squads/contractors under their supervision, in conjunction with ensuring the health and safety of members of the public and other stakeholders.
2. Assist the roads supervisors by directing and overseeing the operatives/contractors under their remit.
3. Adhere to works programme as instructed by supervisors and other officers.
4. Assist and participate in summer and winter standby duties.
5. Ensure all works are carried out to specification on site.
Stirling Council’s Roads Services cover all areas of Stirling Region including the historic City of Stirling and the beautiful rural areas.
