A home, not just a service Our Benholme Supported Living service is home to three adults with learning disabilities. This opportunity involves working closely with all three residents with complex behaviours of concern, providing tailored positive behaviour support. You will form part of our dedicated team, delivering specialist care with a strong focus on person-centred support and development. Described as the 'Gateway to the Lakes', Kendal provides an ideal and picturesque setting to support and integrate our service users in the community. Burneside, only a short commute from Kendal, is where our Benholme service is based. Your working hours We offer both full-time and part-time hours. You’ll need to be flexible to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota. Typical shifts include: • Day shifts: Flexibility required between the hours of 7am - 10pm Why you’ll love working here As well as supporting your wellbeing and career development, we offer a fantastic benefits package, including: • Enhanced pay: A night enhancement of £1.00 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Thursday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). This does not apply to sleep-Ins. What you’ll do • Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication • Encourage independence through a person-centred approach • Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities • Keep clear, accurate records • Most importantly – help each person live life on their own terms No previous care experience? No problem – we’ll give you all the training you need. What helps you shine here • Warm, friendly, and empathetic approach • Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends • Good communication and teamwork skills • Personal care experience (helpful, but not essential) • A genuine desire to help others and make a difference Whether you’re experienced or brand new to care, our comprehensive induction and training will help you thrive. Due to the location and the requirements of this role, a full UK manual driving licence is essential.
