Full Time Warehouse Shift Manager
Responsible for the successful delivery of day‑to‑day warehouse operations at the Thatcham distribution centre, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and cost targets are met and supporting Warehouse Operation Managers.

Any 4 out of 7 shift pattern, working a 10‑hour shift between 06:00‑18:00

What you’ll do
* Own the recruitment and induction process within the warehouse department for new colleagues.
* Conduct daily administration tasks relating to payroll systems, payroll queries and holidays.
* Drive shift performance through team leaders to achieve KPIs.
* Plan operations and deliver on plans in line with live volumes and resources.
* Ensure all safety, health, environmental and quality requirements are fully implemented or appropriately escalated.
* Maintain a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors.
* Manage direct reports in areas such as wellbeing meetings, long‑term sick management, return to work and disciplinary matters.
* Facilitate shift briefings when required.
* Collaborate with third‑party agencies to secure appropriate resourcing.
* Review plans and maintain systems in line with live volumes.
* Identify and review training and development needs frequently.
* Plan and organise operational, people and safety meetings.
* Conduct accident investigations, reporting, hazard walks and observations.
* Maintain and improve performance to maximise operation efficiency against account KPI’s.
Who you are
* Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience of warehouse operations within FMCG distribution.
* Management‑level experience is a must.
* Passion for encouraging teamwork and fostering an innovative culture.
* Excellent team‑management skills for developing team leaders.
* Analytical mind‑set.
* Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns.
* Experience interacting with trade unions is beneficial.
