You’ll be paid a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance of the fleet, resolving technical issues, trouble shooting problems, delivering value for money (cost savings) and ensuring the smooth operation of the fleet and related services
* Review vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules, maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections and services
* Conduct thorough vendor audits, DVSA reportable investigations and weekly/monthly fleet damage reporting
* Communicate effectively with repairers, customers, management, and internal teams, ensuring all stakeholders are appropriately aware of developments, progress, and changes that may have any impact on the business
* Work in conjunction with Transport Managers to achieve a reduction in vehicle damage and costs
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* A technical and supervisory background in HGV vehicle maintenance and compliance, with a thorough knowledge of regulatory compliance in relation to HGV and ancillary equipment
* A minimum of Level 3 City and Guilds Mechanical qualification or equivalent
* Excellent knowledge of parts, spend cost and labour hours - this will be a large part of your role
* A flexible approach to travelling and hours of work
