About The Role
Ashford College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group, is seeking to appoint a Maths Supply Lecturer to its approved staffing list.
Responsibilities
* Teach, train and assess students in your subject specialism(s)
* Ensure a high-quality learning experience
* Provide support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential
Pay
The role pays £18 per hour worked. If planning and administration is required, an additional half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. The typical day is therefore £140 for 5 hours of teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with strong interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress to plan interventions is vital to the role, ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
Applicants should be able to teach a range of designated study programmes and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3, and be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study.
Applicants will be required to comply with safeguarding and DBS requirements, including a self‑declared review, an Enhanced DBS check and sufficient referencing.
