This role sits within our Submarines business, where you’ll join a wider Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team of around 35 people. Day-to-day, you’ll work within a smaller, specialist group focused on delivering expert environmental and waste management support. What you will be doing With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: Work within a specialist team focused on waste characterisation, hazardous waste solutions, and environmental risk assessments. Provide expert advice on environmental compliance, supporting adherence to permits, BAT (Best Available Techniques), and ISO standards. Engage with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure alignment with environmental legislation and drive continuous improvement. To be successful in this role you will need to: Have experience with environmental management systems and a solid understanding of waste principles and the waste hierarchy. Possess strong knowledge of ISO standards and relevant environmental legislation. Be confident in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing solutions for hazardous and complex waste.
