My client is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Material Supply Operative with a reach truck licence to join their team in a fast-paced factory environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of hygiene organisation and safety while supporting production operations.
Job Summary
This role focuses on general hygiene and material supply duties across the site. You will play a key part in ensuring the factory environment remains clean organised and fully stocked to support smooth production processes. Flexibility is essential as you may also be required to support as a Factory Production Operative when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily pre-start inspections of the yard
* Monitor and maintain pallet levels within the production area
* Ensure changing rooms are stocked with appropriate PPE
* Replenish washing stations with soap sanitiser and hand towels
* Sort uniform deliveries and manage distribution
* Dispose of waste correctly including sorting waste bags into skips or compactors
* Flatten cardboard and operate the cardboard bailer
* Maintain cleanliness of the rear yard and surrounding floor areas
* Follow all company procedures risk assessments and health and safety regulations including COSHH
* Wear all required PPE for each task
* Maintain high personal hygiene and adhere to company hygiene standards
* Follow clean as you go practices ensuring work areas are tidy and hazard free
* Operate machinery in line with training and competence
* Work across different areas to support operational flexibility
* Report hazards defects or near misses to the Team Leader
* Ensure all products and racks are labelled correctly for traceability
* Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
* Support continuous improvement across safety quality and efficiency xxuwjjq
* Escalate issues and assist with resolving operational challenges
* Follow Defacto procedures including booking activities correctly
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by management
Knowledge Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a food production/ manufacturing environment
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail particularly with paperwork and compliance
* Experience using systems such as Defacto for booking processes is advantageous
* Valid Reach Truck licence and pedestrian truck licence
