About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-5, following exam specifications and incorporating creative design processes and practical skills.
* Plan and deliver lessons that foster innovation, problem-solving, and practical skills, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including CAD/CAM software and workshop tools.
* Assess student progress through design projects, practical tasks, and written assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their development and ensure smooth transition mid-year.
* Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum, integrating current technological trends and industry practices, and participate in departmental planning.
* Organize and lead design and technology projects, workshops, and visits to local industries, promoting hands-on learning and practical application of skills, adapting to mid-year integration.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Design and Technology subject knowledge, including practical skills and CAD/CAM.
* Demonstrated experience teaching Design and Technology across Key Stages 3-5, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and practical applications.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, including those joining mid-year.
* Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and practical skills among young women.
