Overview
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same. You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure tasks are performed safely.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and the role you play in delivering profit.
* Demonstrate company values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow store policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of each shift to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products to all customers.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store; keep aisles clear of congestion.
* Support shift leadership in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager, where required.
* Complete any required training to keep yourself and others safe and compliant.
* If applicable, duties may include operating a Post Office Local, which may require a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check; if checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
