Job Description
Employee Relations
3. Provide clear, professional advice to managers on a wide range of ER issues, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
4. Manage complex ER cases and escalate to the HR Business Partner when needed.
5. Respond promptly to employee and manager queries.
6. Support the review and update of HR policies.
7. Maintain effective relationships with Trade Union representatives.
Occupational Health & Wellbeing
8. Proactively manage absence cases, ensuring welfare meetings and trend analysis.
9. Promote health and wellbeing initiatives.
10. Prepare occupational health referrals.
11. Carry out Drugs & Alcohol testing after training, including out‑of‑hours on‑call duties.
Employee Engagement & Development
12. Support performance reviews, learning initiatives and employee engagement activity.
13. Work cross‑functionally to strengthen communication and engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
14. Partner with Finance and Payroll on pay matters (e.g., sick pay, family leave).
15. Support the annual pay review.
16. Promote and help improve employee benefits.
Policy & Procedure
17. Draft, update and implement HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
18. Support policy rollouts and provide guidance on interpretation.
Management Information & Reporting
19. Assist with HR data, reporting, and analysis.
20. Support statutory reporting, including gender pay gap and ONS submissions.
21. Maintain accurate HR system data.
The Successful Applicant
22. Experienced HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge,
23. Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
24. You will be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
25. Previous HR advisory experience is essential.
26. Strong ER and employment law knowledge and experience.
27. Experience of working within an aviation / logistics / manufacturing or similar operational environment experience (desirable).
28. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
29. Excellent note / minute taking ability, with good attention to detail.
30. Ability to advise various stakeholders, using sound judgement and mitigating risks
