Your responsibilities: Contributing to desk‑based environmental planning and assessment projects, including Sustainability Appraisals (SA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA) of local planning documents Undertaking site environmental assessments and baseline data collection Report writing and associated administrative duties Role requirements: A qualification in a relevant subject Knowledge of UK legislation relating to environmental assessment, planning, and nature conservation Excellent written English, strong communication skills, and numerical literacy Experience in producing high‑quality written reports Desirable experience includes knowledge of UK environmental assessment regimes, with exposure to one or more of Sustainability Appraisal, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment, and Environmental Impact Assessment. Experience using GIS software, particularly ArcGIS, and the ability to work collaboratively with other environmental disciplines as part of a multidisciplinary team would also be advantageous.
